Welcome to Loose-Leaf and Bound!
Here, I’ll post about my own journey in writing a novel, occasionally review a book or two, recommend books just as often as I review them, and post snippets of my own writing.
What kind of novel am I writing, you ask? I’m writing a portal fantasy with just a smidgen of romance sprinkled in. I’m big on the sprinkling. It’d probably be a YA novel if not for the fact that my protagonist is in her twenties. I guess that could always be amended.
What other things do I write? Well, I’ve been known to dabble in short stories of the thriller variety. Normally, I’m terrified of anything even remotely scary, but I think that makes me really good at writing scary things.
To the side of every page on this website, you’ll find my progress in the form of a word count and percentage. I’m very excited about this, word trackers are super useful; I personally use WriteTrack, which is a wonderful program.
I’m looking forward to sharing my journey with all of you! I’m excited for all the milestones: the title reveals, snippets, synopses, and (hopefully) cover reveals. My goal is to have this first draft completed by the end of NaNoWriMo (November 30th, 2019).
Cheers,
Theodora Mitrakos
